True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for an organized self-starter to join our team.
The Administrative Coordinator, Camp Manitou position will provide administrative and organizational support for the True North Youth Foundation’s Camp Manitou.
What to be excited for in this role:
- Facilitate group bookings, event bookings, summer registration, and invoicing
- Provide customer service for camp programs, rental groups, and events; respond to phone calls and emails, directing inquiries as needed
- Assist with preparing group schedules in collaboration with the Programming Coordinator
- Support the development and maintenance of forms, worksheets, and record-keeping systems; manage camper, staff, donor, and program data
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and accreditation checks for seasonal staff
- Support the development of the camp budget, reporting, and performance measurement (including fundraising and donation analysis)
- Assist in planning and executing special events for fundraising and promotion, including TNYF events
- Collaborate with the Camp Director and TNSE Marketing team on marketing initiatives, including social media management and website updates (WordPress)
- Manage donor recognition processes and related record keeping in partnership with the Camp Director
- Maintain office operations, including inventory management, supply ordering, shopping, and petty cash handling
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What we need from you:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience maintaining filing systems and basic databases
- Knowledge of WordPress is an asset
- Experience and/or interest in working with youth and children
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, particularly in record keeping
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
- Proven ability to prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Valid Class Five driver’s license and access to a vehicle (some local and provincial driving required) as Camp Manitou is not located on a public transportation route.
- Candidates must provide a Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check as a condition of employment.
