Environmental Assessor – Waste Auditor

Time Frame: This is a contract position, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. We are looking to fill 
several part-time positions. Job hours are typically during the daytime but may include some evenings 
or weekends. 
Wage: $18.40 per hour 
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Conducting assessments of waste and recycling material to determine recycling recovery rates in 
key areas across Manitoba, which include:
o Waste and recycling material collection
o Waste and recycling material sorting
o Waste disposal behavioural observations
• Assist in educating the public on beverage container recycling and its importance through the 
promotion of the Recycle Everywhere Program.
• Attend events and educate the public on accepted recyclable material by assisting in separating 
waste and recycling and allotting it to the proper stream. 
• Conduct assessments on public recycling bins and signage.
• Potential cross-training for our Brand Ambassador Team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Understanding or interest in environmental and waste management issues.
• Must be able to work as a member of a team and with minimal supervision.
• Must have a reliable means of getting to and from the Recycle Everywhere warehouse location.
• Must be able to perform physical duties of the job, including lifting at least 40 pounds.
• Must be willing to travel throughout Manitoba.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.
• A university or College degree completed or in progress, in a related field, is an asset.
