Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate year-round recreation programs for all age groups.
- Promote and maximize the use of municipal facilities, parks, and amenities to increase participation.
- Supervise seasonal facility staff, including grant applications and operational oversite.
- Support and assist with community-led events.
- Develop and guide local Boost Committees.
- Report to and collaborate with the Emblem Community Development Committee.
- Administer Storefront Improvement Program.
- Act as a liaison between Council, administration and community groups to facilitate strong communication and effective collaboration.
- Assist volunteer groups and organizations with grant applications, sponsorship, and fundraising initiatives.
- Encourage and support volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition to strengthen community involvement.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Economic Development, Policy and Projects.
- Other duties as assigned.


Preferred candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in program planning, grant writing, and working with volunteers and community organizations is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: Wage to be negotiated dependant on experience and qualifications.
