Provide direction and leadership in coordinating, planning, resourcing, allocation and delivery of the provision of recreation and aquatic services that are responsive to identified needs in the assigned program and service areas, including provision of city-wide services.
Provide supervision, expertise and leadership in the assigned programming areas directly to, on average, 3.5 FTEs; and, indirectly to approximately 47 FTEs and 340 contract leader agreements.
Ensure the financial services of the assigned portfolio are managed in accordance with City and Department policies, administrative directives, standards and documents including the Division’s Annual Budget
Ensure that programs and services comply with all relevant legislation, Acts, standards, City Policies and regulations including the City of Winnipeg Act and all relevant by-laws.
Operate facilities, systems, and related equipment to meet the required standards for the safe and effective functioning of assigned programs and services.
Provide technical expertise related to recreation programs and services to civic staff, elected officials, community organizations, the media, other levels of government and the public as it relates to the integrated and comprehensive delivery of programs and services. Read More Here
