Aquatic Centre Manager

The Aquatic Centre Manager is responsible for the Gimli Aquatic Centre; delivering the highest level of customer service and consistency to both facility users and staff. The Aquatic Centre Manager will supervise the lifeguards, instructors, and cashiers and will ensure focus on safety to achieve the best experiences for guests.

Duties: 
• Manages the lifeguard rotations to ensure that all team members are utilized to the fullest 
• Manages & supports all Aquatic Team Members
• Ensuring all lifeguarding certifications are current and valid within the department
• Completes and documents daily inspections to ensure pool area cleanliness and safety as directed by the 
Director of Recreation & Leisure Services
• Understands/Documents/Balances pool chemicals
• Submits incident reports in a timely matter
• Maintains the Systems Binder on a daily basis
• Assists in training team members through shadowing, direction and feedback of guard critiques
• Works with Recreation Programmer to plan, implement and facilitate programming
