Position Summary:

The Recreational Therapist Clinical Service Lead is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing therapeutic recreation programs that enhance physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of children and adults with complex medical, behavioral and disability support needs. This leadership role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring staff, and ensuring high quality service delivery aligned with St.Amant’s organizational mission and values.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience and Occupational Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field.
• Membership in Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association and Recreation Connections Manitoba preferred.
• Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) is required.
• First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training is preferred.
• 1-2 years recent experience working with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in a healthcare and or community environment.
• Must have extensive knowledge of social, recreation and leisure programming and recreation resources in a health-based setting and in the community.
