Duties:
We are seeking a professional individual to supervise our parks and direct park staff within the RM of Hanover.
The Parks Lead position provides a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to work in the RMs
fastest growing sector.
This job requires you to have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, experience in supervision of staff,
and experience in the operation of equipment such as zero turn mowers, chainsaws, chippers, skid steers,
lawn care equipment, truck/trailers, tractors, mowers, loaders and Zambonis. The position is based on 40
hours/week though some flexibility in hours may be required.
This position is slated to begin by May at the latest.
Qualifications required:
Five or more years’ experience in a supervisory position;
Ability to coordinate and work with others in a team environment;
Experience with safe operation of equipment;
Access to personal transportation;
Ability meet deadlines and to work independently;
Certifications required or willing to obtain:
Greenspace Management Diploma or extensive experience in landscape work;
Playground Safety Certification;
Pesticide application license;
Compensation:
The Rural Municipality of Hanover will provide a competitive wage to the successful applicant according to municipal
salary grid and based on qualifications and experience.
