Recreation Director

Reporting to the Lorne Recreation Commission Board, the Director will be responsible for all administrative functions in the operation of the district. The Director shall encourage and initiate public recreation programs for all ages striving to meet the recreation needs of the residents of the Municipality of Lorne.

Qualification of this position include but are not limited to:           

• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Budgeting, accounting. and payroll skills
• Reporting skill, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer software and social media skills
• Must be able to flex hours for some evening work

Education and Experience:

• Minimum Grade 12 High school Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle required
• Bilingual an asset
• Education in the recreation field or 3 years related experience in program planning and delivery an asset
• Business administration, bookkeeping and accounting courses or related experience an asset
